Millions of homeowners in Europe will soon be replacing their windows, installing solar panels on their roofs and better insulating their facades. This is what the European Commission calls for in a draft directive that is available to WELT. According to the document, all houses and apartments on the continent will have to meet a certain energy standard in the future. For many buildings, that would mean nothing less than compulsory renovation.
