Yesterday, Monday morning, the summer school, promoted by ERACIS (Andalusian Region Strategy for Cohesion and Social Inclusion), began to function. It will be held in the central of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations, located in Calle Ballesteros, and will run from Monday through Thursday until August 25.
This action, as highlighted by Natalia Perez Merino (Councilor for Social Welfare), is part of activities that are carried out throughout the year using this strategy and other itineraries. She explained that she had developed a program for minors of families residing within the ERACIS area.
This summer school will host approximately twenty minors aged between 6-12 years. The theme for this year's summer school is "The Olympic and Paralympic Games". Each week will be dedicated a different sport such as acrosports, weightlifting or free throw, among others. The mayor stated that the goal was to encourage in students aspects like camaraderie and fair competition, respect, healthy lives, and ultimately all that has to do education in sports values.
Perez Merino thanked the FAVU and CEIP Juan Pasquau for their collaboration in this initiative. He said that the collaboration will make programming more appealing and will help create an itinerary through various places so that boys and girls can get to know each other.
