The Consortium takes criticism into consideration and announces that buses will be reinforced starting Monday, Aguadulce

The Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Almeria Area responded to user complaints. These complaints were collected by IDEAL and the El Canarete Platform. This morning, rallies were held every Wednesday to protest the shortcomings of the service and the inability to respond to the Consortium's meeting requests. The Ministry of Development is dependent on this entity and has announced reinforcements starting Monday.

This Monday, the University of Almeria will have an additional service. It will depart from Aguadulce – Las Arenas at 7:30 a.m., passing through all Aguadulce stops and arrive at the UAL. This is the first time this service has been offered and strengthens the link between Aguadulce and UAL. It corresponds to M-336, which is an addition to the 5 services already in place in Aguadulce and Roquetas de Mar. This line already has one reinforcement from Roquetas De Mar and another from Aguadulce.

A portion of the M-330 service will also resume its routes along the A-7 motorway starting in El Parador at these times:

-Departures to Almeria at 9 :45 a.m. 12:45 pm and 2:15 pm.

The Transport Consortium adds new services between El Parador de las Hortichuelas, Almeria, and Almeria at 7 :25, 9 :55, and 13:00, respectively, and between El Parador de las Hortichuelas, Almeria, and El Parador at 9:00, 12:00, 13:30, 14 :15, and 15:00.

According to the Consortium, it has been reported that Plaza de los Peces will become less crowded due to the increased services offered by the Consortium.

Four additional services (reinforcements), will be established to reinforce the section between El Parador, Aguadulce, and Aguadulce at rush hour. They depart from El Parador at 7:15, 7:30, and 8:00 AM respectively. This will allow for a wider range of transport options.

The current services of M-330/301 are at more than 100%. This is because the Canarete highway was closed on April 9, 2009. It occurred during rush hour (7:00-9.00). The closure of the road, as well as the traffic delays in Aguadulce have caused the Consortium and operator to increase services to meet current demand.

These services will be available at rush hour on Monday 23rd.

-Las Marinas - Almeria: 6:20, 6:50* (highway service), 6:50 (reinforcement), 7:30, 7:50, 8:30, 8:35, 9:15*, 9 :15 (reinforcement).

-Almeria - Las Marinas: 12:45*, 13:15, 14:15*, 14:45, 15:15.

2 reinforcements from Roquetas de Mar, 6 from Aguadulce

-Aguadulce - Almeria: 6:50, 7:00*, 7:10, 7:15*, 7:30, 7:30*, 7:55, 8:00*, 8:10, 8:25, 8 :40, 9:10, 9:25.

-Almeria - Aguadulce: 13:00, 13:15, 13:30*, 14:00, 14:15, 14:30, 14:45, 15:00*, 15:15, 15:30.

This will mean that between 6:45 and 9:30 a.m. the Aguadulce nucleus has 13 connections to Almeria (7 bases services 6 additional reinforcements), and the Roquetas de Mar Nucleus will be connected with Almeria 9 times (7 base services 2 reinforcements).

The finalization of the improvements to the stop posts is underway. They will soon have QR codes that can be used to provide information about services, schedules, and stops.

After the closure of N-340, the Consortium and operators have been looking at the increase in these services. Yesterday, the Board of Directors discussed the possibility of recovering some of the pending services. This would improve the connection between the municipalities of El Ejido and Dalias, more specifically the center of Celin, and Berja.
