The Board moves to declare the future Sierra de La Sagra Natural Park

"Involving the territories users in the conservation and proper usage of natural, cultural and landscape resources and values is an essential participatory process to declare a protected natural environment," stated Manuel Francisco Garcia, the territorial delegate for Sustainable Development. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Sustainable Development. It was attended by nearly 50 people, including representatives of different social sectors of Puebla and Huescar as well as many agents of Environment and Mariano Garcia Castillo (mayors of Puebla and Huescar Ramon Martinez) and Puebla and Puebla and Puebla and Puebla and Puebla, respectively), who will have to resign the position.

Carmen Crespo, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development, announced to the Governing council that the process of declaring the Sierra de la Sagra a natural reserve was underway. The minister highlighted on that date the "step forwards" made by the Government in Andalusia towards declaring the Sierra de la Sagra a natural reserve, an initiative that "will allow new employment opportunities and business opportunities related to sustainable development, conservation and maintenance of its natural heritage."

Moreno Bonilla was the President of the Board and he visited Huescar to fulfill a request of the Huescar City Councils.

The Ministry of Sustainable Development provides technical assistance to Natures, S. Coop. This will guide the participatory process. And. A cooperative that is based on principles of the social economic and dedicated to services in environmental, geological, and biological issues. This will set the pace for four days in the territory. It will implement mechanisms based upon communication, transfer knowledge, and land stewardship methods that include tools and strategies that involve land owners and users in the conservation and proper usage of natural, cultural, and landscape resources.

The delegate concludes by saying that "with these actions, we will successfully execute the declaration of Sierra de la Sagra Natural Park, Huescar region" with the support and endorsement of all the involved town councils.
