The Board auctions more than 40,000,000 in land from El Toyo de la Deuda Historica

Through the General Directorate of Heritage the Ministry of Finance and European Financing announced yesterday in BOJA that 33 assets it owns that "lack utility" and totaling 81.4 million euros were up for auction. The Board received the statement.

This is the third auction in the legislature. It includes 19 lots from the payment the so-called "historical debt" - which is included in the Carmona Statute. This refers to an infrastructural gap from which the administration began autonomic. The settlement was made in March 2010 with delivery to the Junta de Andalucia the ownership of a company, and a lot real estate that has not been used nor been made profitable since then.

The Andalusian Government also assumed yesterday that it had been paying maintenance costs of more than 6,000,000 euros for the Andalusian public funds during this period (for example in IBI payments).

The General Directorate of Heritage has been regularizing unused buildings and land over the years to make them available for public services and/or their enhancement. It also seeks to maximize the return on heritage buildings. Two purposes are involved in the valuation of properties that will be up for auction. The first is to obtain resources for public services and reduce maintenance costs. The other is to make available assets to the private sector for projects that promote economic reactivation in Andalusian communities and job creation.

Three large residential plots in Almeria, Granada, and Seville are among the 30 assets up for public auction. Their combined appraisal value is 35 million euros. Two large plots in Toyo II and Toyo I estates account for almost half of the total cost of the Board's investment plans.

It is required to get prior authorization from the Junta de Andalucia Governing Council for the sale of the land, as it has a market value of over 6 million euros. This was granted by the council at its May 31 meeting. Only Toyo II, the Almeria land, is valued at 10,404813.26 euro.

These lands are not the only ones being offered at the auction. Other urban plots include those in Seville, Almeria (Cadiz), San Fernando (Cadiz), Jerez de la Frontera(Cadiz), Cordoba and Jaen. Participation in the auction is easy and anyone can attend.

All bids must be submitted in writing and sealed envelopes by October 6, 2022. The Assembly Hall will host the public opening ceremony for proposals on November 7, 2022 at 9:15 a.m. of the Ministry of Finance. There will be two auctions on the same day with upward economic proposals. If the first auction is unsuccessful, the second auction will have a 15% lower bidding price, which will allow for more competitive market prices.
