Grunwald: There are very different role descriptions, but I wouldn't say "referee" under any circumstances.
WORLD: Because it sounds too authoritarian?
Grunwald: More like a kind of censorship authority. Some actually have this expectation of technology ethics, which is closely related to technology assessment. It's like there's a simple stamp, and then a technique says "Ethically Approved."
