So that the work can begin in the fall, the El Patio project will be completed in the summer.

Yesterday, Almeria's City Council approved, at the request of the Urban Planning and Infrastructure Area and within the Local Government Board, the most economical offer to contract the services of Project Drafting Construction Management and Execution Management and Responsible for the Comprehensive Rehabilitation contract of El Patio building'. This offer was submitted by Ingenieria y Centro de Calculo S.A. for a sum of 100,459.04 euro.

Now, the company that was selected as the winning bidder has ten days to submit all necessary documentation before signing the contract. It will then have a maximum of three months to complete the project. This will allow it to find the final solution to the building's situation since it was evicted in 2016.

Carlos Sanchez, the Government Team's deputy spokesperson, said that the action was the result of cooperation between the Board and City Council and because of the inclusion of the rehabilitation plan for the Pescaderia Avenida del Mar as a beneficiary of the Call for Urban Regeneration and Renewal Areas of Andalusia.

This action will improve the common spaces, facades and appearances of the building that houses 106 dwellings. There are also two other projects within this subsidy line: rehabilitation of the 40 municipal dwellings on Estrella Pole street, which is a project already being drafted by City Council; and urbanization and improvement in the surrounding of Torreones.

This Governing Board also approved today the most economical offer for contracting the drafting of project, Construction Management and Health and Safety Coordination and Responsible. It was the one presented to them by 'Zofre S.L.P. For a sum of 10,950.50 Euros. The bidding process for this project, which includes the remains of an old medieval wall, saw four offers.
