Scholz even refutes the anti-American madness with calm words

It was a thoroughly boring evening in Cottbus. Not so dull that you keep looking at the clock and hoping it will be over soon, no: rather pleasantly soothing. It's also different in Germany when a politician, here the Federal Chancellor, meets real citizens, live and in color, i.e. no social media profiles. It works without hysteria. You can talk to each other. Simply that way. You don't have to agree. You can still talk. Divided society? But not so much when you face each other. This is the win of the boring evening in Cottbus.

Olaf Scholz introduced the "Chancellor Talks", there have already been a few in NRW, in Saxony-Anhalt, in Hesse. At “equal footing”, he says, the chancellor wants to meet the citizens. 150 guests are invited. You could apply in Cottbus by advertising in two local newspapers. I post about my visit on Facebook. Immediately the assumptions come: they are all cast. The questions had to be submitted in advance. The social media profiles are checked by the Chancellery.
