The Teatrino Cycle of the XXII Cazorla Intertourist Festival has started. It was done in a huge way by the critically acclaimed contemporary dance show, 'Pinoxxio' by Ananda Dansa. In 2016, it won all seven Max Awards: Best Children's Show -Toni Aparisi -Best Lead Dancer –Ana Lujan - Best Cast -Pascual Peruis -Best Costume Design —Pascual Peis -, Best Choreography (Rosangels Vals and Toni Aparisi Aparisi Aparisi Aparisi Aparisi Aparisi Aparisi Aparisi Llopis - It was a true piece of art, which was enjoyed by 300 people at Teatro de la Merced. About thirty were students at the Coto Rios School, located in Santiago Pontones, the heart of Natural Park.
The Valencian company has a long history with over twenty-five works and many awards including the 2006 National Dance Award. They are often large-format shows that are aimed at children, adults and families. The Edison brothers (stage and dramaturgy) and Rosangeles Valls (choreography), co-directed 'Pinoxxio, whose exceptionality can never be appreciated the same way by girls and boys as it is by adults and young people. The latter clearly understood the complex lyricism, abstraction, and original music that this contemporary dance composition contains, undoubtedly.
The viewer's reflection is required to absorb the story of Carlo Collodi’s original 'Pinoxxio’ without a growing nose between. It must be diluted for the smallest, and the largest. This is an important detail that would have allowed this work, with all its guarantees, to swell FIT Room Program. This was a fact that the organizer of the event valued months before it began.
It is not a new idea for Ananda Dansa to cover classic children's literature. The company has done this before with 'Alice in Wonderland,' 'The Wizard of Oz,' and 'Peter Pan. Pep Llopis (whose music has been performed live by the Verum Symphony Orchestra); Emilio Lavarias (in lighting); or Pascual Peis (in charge of the locker area) have also served as his regulars. Toni Aparisi, Ana Lujan, PalomaCalderon, Laura Juncal and Miguel Machado were all present on La Merced's stage. A dance corps that excels in interpreting each character at the highest level of choreography.
Three more appointments will be added to the Teatrino program - totaling four, which is more than in previous editions due to their success - and they will take up Wednesdays of this month of November: Frankenstein. On the 14th, I am not a Monster; on the 21st, 'The Hen With the Golden Eggs'; and on the 28th, 'Alberti un mar de versos, which will conclude this edition.
