Media noise is hiding the problem

The launch of the logistics center has again sparked the conflict between the majority of parties who have governed the destinations since their inception in the city as well as in the Andalusian government.

The presentation of a motion from the PSOE at the last plenary session by the Municipal Corporation has sparked controversy. This motion was ultimately approved. This idea was not well received by the PP at local level and the Junta de Andalucia. They understand that there is a will' to reformulate this project and to begin a dialogue. However, they also noticed a spirit for confrontation. His claim was understood by socialists as an attempt to speed up the project. Behind the media noise, however, no warning was given by any political leader about the real and true problems that have drowned an idea -either because of ignorance or by throwing smokescreens- if it succeeds in other municipalities, where the parties confronted in Andujar have governed.

Genesis

This problem began in 2006 when new ideas were presented for the city. Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero (socialist) was the Central Government's leader. He announced the arrival to Andujar of the Ros Casares group as part of the Activa Jaen Plan package. The Board government, also from the PSOE, offered the City Council the possibility of developing the land via public roads. This is known as the cooperation system. Jesus Estrella (the mayor at that time) refused to accept the offer. He opted instead for the compensation system and held on to the leadership of several companies in the city.

2008's economic crisis shattered all illusions and destroyed everything. Despite the fact that many urbanization projects were completed and megalomaniac plans such as Innovandujar Business Park, they were not implemented. This project has continued to add nonsense after absurdity since then.

It had devastating consequences. The land was divided into 4 sectors. Ros Casares planned to settle in Sector 2, but Goya 69, the subsidiary of its company, filed for bankruptcy. Because the plots were purchased by banks and vulture funds, Sector 1 is currently in dissolution. Sectors 3 and 4 have been selected for the logistics center. However, there has not been any progress. While urbanization or expropriation is one option, it should not be considered as a viable solution. The social function of the logistic center must also be protected.

Another problem was the fact that the heirs to the deceased owners of the plots and the companies that were to pay for urbanization remained insolvent, or are no longer traceable. This has led to problems with industrial land in the area. One of the worst consequences was the decision by the Luis Pina Group to expand its Marmolejo facilities.

Juan Antonio Saez, a United Left development delegate, was aware of the problem and recommended that the central government invest in the modernization and expansion of the Central Railway Corridor. This would start at the Algeciras Bobadilla station and reach Cordoba as well as Andujar, Linares Baeza, and Madrid.

Solutions

Jesus Estrella, the acting government delegate, stated last Wednesday in the City that the mayor had the "institutional loyalty" of the Board and that he supported not creating partisan discussions. He agreed to meet with the mayor, and he announced that a new legal structure would be established at the end of the term in modification to the PGOU. "This is the responsibility of City Council," he stated.

Pedro Luis Rodriguez, the mayor of Panama, said in plenary, that there was an interest from his government to begin talks, avoid controversies, and find solutions.
