In the midst of an alarming state, the Maracena City Council decided to conduct tests on its merchants in order to create safe environments for all who shop in the area. Due to the Consistory's initiative to support small merchants, coronavirus testing has been conducted on 400 people to date.
Noel Lopez (marican of Maracena) stated that they had taken this initiative in order to provide security and tranquility for the business and commercial sector. He also added that what they wanted to do was "assure" residents that their businesses are "safe and quality." At the Clione Clinic, Covid-19 was tested and only one case has been reported. Lopez concluded that the health crisis is now an economic and social crisis. Therefore, it is important to strengthen and revive Maracena's commerce and business fabric.
