According to the Consistory, the City Council of Las Gabias informed media that it will fight to ensure that the health center has an emergency service "as soon and as possible". This is something that the Ministry of Health and Families had already committed to with the municipality.
Vanessa Polo, the mayor of Gabirra pointed this out before Indalecio Sanchez Montinos announced yesterday that Churriana De la Vega would soon begin the mandatory study to recover the Emergency service and include it in the new Structure Plan.
Polo said that the City Council had "for years demanded that the Gabirro Health Center provide an emergency service. Since unlike the Churriana Center, our center has the space necessary for it."
The mayor explained that he is urging the Health and Families delegation "to fulfill the promise that the previous team had made and make our municipality, with more than 20,000 residents, have an emergency department as soon as possible."
Polo recalled that Las Gabias is "the gateway to El Temple region, whose inhabitants already have more than 25,000 residents". He also highlighted that the municipality's medical center "already provides service to many residents of towns like La Malaha and Escuzar, so it doesn't make sense for the Junta de Andalucia or the PP to despise this city for political reasons.
