Two new clean points have been installed by the City Council of Las Gabias for underground recycling and organic waste in Los Conquistadores. These containers will make it easier for the municipal garbage collection service to collect their garbage. This installation is part of the improvements made by the Department of the Environment of the gabirro municipality to improve the services.
Luis Alcoba (Councilor for the Environment) was able to highlight that the two new underground clean points "complete the other three that the City Council placed months ago in the same neighborhood." Alcoba says the installation shows the Consistory's firm commitment to improving cleanliness in the municipality.
The City Council paid around 21,000 euros for the financing of the clean points. Containers for organic waste, paper and containers have been added to the facility. This will encourage recycling in the area.
This urban improvement is part of the one that was made in La Piconera, where a new water collection was installed to prevent flooding. .
To complete this project, the Gabirro City Council was awarded a grant by Junta de Andalucia. A new water collector was installed on Calle Argentina. This action cost just over 120,000 Euros.
