La Zubia's young people learn how to use comics to express themselves.

Thanks to the pioneering initiative of the City Council's Department of Youth to help youth express themselves through comics, a group of La Zubia young people have learned how to communicate their emotions and feelings through comics.

They are all students at the Municipal Comic School in La Zubia, which is the only one in the province. They have published "Emotional Intelligence", a graphic work that was published by the City Council. It aims to make visible the youth center Township's work.

"We need to focus on the feelings of young people, their emotional responses and their expressions. The youth have been involved in this project together with the Youth Area's technical team," explains Antonio Arquelladas, mayor of Zubiense Youth.

This project brought together a multidisciplinary team. Blanca Paloma Sociocultural animation students also participated in the project. They prepared a play called "Who am I?" for the presentation of this booklet. The playwright of conscience Pax Deltoni wrote 'Who am I?'

This is an amazing work of interpretation, in which the girls and boys go on a journey through emotions as well as internal dialogue. Through symbology and humor, everyday scenes that are close to their realities, encourage the public to reflect on the importance self-knowledge.

"We can't be prouder of the Zubian youth or the participation of all parties to this idea since its inception. Arquelladas concludes that the Escuela of Comic de la Blanca Palaoma students, teachers, and team are the best evidence that this generation has much to contribute and that we need to be more appreciative of the inexhaustible potential of our youth."

Puri Lopez, the mayor of La Zubia says that this work was the result of months of hard work by students at the School of Comics. They have had an extraordinary experience with professionals who have amazingly advised them on how to manage His emotions.

The Comic School is located in Casa de la Juventud de la Zubia. It currently has fifty students from all ages who can learn and create their drawings for free. Andrea Sanchez, one of her first students, teaches a digital drawing class. She has become an excellent teacher of digital illustration.
