La Zubia City Council distributed over a thousand hot chocolates and sugar cakes on Friday, December 10. The Department of Festivities hosted a wonderful event to turn on Christmas lights in the Parque de la Encina. This was attended by hundreds of Zubienses. There was cotton candy available for all children, and there were also Christmas carols and cartoon characters.
Natalia Arregui (Councilor for Festivities), highlights that "Christmas lights this year will reach neighborhoods where it has never been before, like Barrichuelo", and that they have been distributed to all of our neighborhoods. The mayor also stated that the lighting in the Parque de la Encina Bandstand has been enhanced, and "innovative" and "state-of-the art, something never seen in La Zubia.
Puri Lopez, La Zubia's mayor, praised "the extraordinary atmosphere created by the Parque de la Encina day, which was a beautiful act that we wanted to celebrate Christmas in a big way." "Enjoy the Christmas activities that we have prepared with so many love for the upcoming holidays," the councilor urges neighbors.
