Encourage residents of La Zubia, to shop at local businesses for Christmas. The City Council along with the Women's Business Association of La Zubia and the Association of Shops and Companies of La Zubia organized a Christmas market called 'Con-suma Igualdad'.
The Parque de la Encina hosted the event with fifteen local artisans and businesswomen, all women. They offered sweets, handicrafts as well as flowers, jewelry, sweets, garden, crochet, patchwork, or reborn babies. .
Natalia Arregui (Councilor for Commerce of the Zubiense City Council) stated that "hundreds of neighbours have taken advantage of the market to do Christmas shopping. On a day when there were many activities for children such as free bounce castles and even Santa Claus visiting, we even received the visit from Santa Claus."
ASEMCO collaborated with Casa Pinta to provide cognitive stimulation workshops and two craft activities. There was also a variety of activities for all ages throughout the day.
Puri Lopez, the mayor of La Zubia and Arregui, and Rebeca Sanchez, the Councilor for Equality visited the Con-sumaIgualdad Christmas Market. They stressed that the City Council had launched a promotion campaign for their business under the slogan 'La Zubia Has It All: Buy in La Zubia, Consume in La Zubia' to encourage neighbors to shop locally and support those who have suffered the most from the pandemic.
