Twenty La Zubian women of various ages, all victims of gender-based violence, take part in a program that teaches self-esteem and motivation. It is organized by the Department of Equality of the City Council and held at the Equality Center 13 Roses.

They will all work together for several weeks to increase their employability and skills. In the meantime, they will also be working with a social educator to address their personal issues. The goal is to empower all the neighbors, to trust themselves more, to improve their professional qualifications, and to leave behind the vulnerability that they suffered from sexist violence.

Puri Lopez, the mayor of La Zubia says that the workshop provides individual psychological attention for each woman who needs it. She also highlights that this activity will help many women overcome personal issues after experiencing gender-based violence.
