Alvaro Nadal, an economist and former Minister of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda, and Jose Carlos Diez, an economist, author, and professor at University of Alcala, will attend the next Dialogues for Development meeting. Both guests will be able to discuss the current economic situation in Europe, Spain, and the United States as a result the invasion of Ukraine. They will also discuss the possible solutions that could help us overcome this crisis that has lasted more than two years. FAEEM, Active Management, Solunion, Extenda, and UnicaGroup will host the meeting at the Cervantes Theater, Almeria on Tuesday, July 5th at 1:00 pm.

Former Minister Nadal will give a speech on the current international economic situation. It will include events such as Brexit, the energy shock resulting from the invasion of Ukraine, significant inflation rises and the monetary turn that policy are taking. The guest will discuss the Spanish economy's impact and the role of foreign trade in this new international context.

The economist will also provide tips and tricks to increase the competitiveness and profitability of companies in an unpredictable world.

Jose Carlos Diez, for his part will devote a portion of his speech to underlining the importance of the country's commitment to renewable energy and structural reforms in order to overcome the crisis. The economist will examine the international economic situation as a consequence of the invasion in Ukraine. He will also discuss inflation, the monetary policies that Europe will use, and interest rates.

Both guests will discuss the importance of the Mediterranean Corridor and how Spain can be more competitive and improve productivity. They also discuss the best ways to manage talent in disruptive settings. They will also discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the Almeria business network.
