Yesterday, the Municipal Sports Institute (IMD), officially approved 75,000 Euros in subsidy delivery to 19 clubs and two federated El Ejido athletes.
Francisco Gongora, the mayor, and Maria Jose Martin, the mayor of Sports, were present at the signing ceremony for the resolutions. These grants are intended to support the clubs in their activities and competition, as well as encourage and promote healthy lifestyle choices and sports.
The distribution criteria for subsidies were determined by the number of licenses, the total amount of competition trips, the level of competition and whether participation was by invitation, classification or free.
The subsidy recipient must also state that the Municipal Sports Institute collaborated in advertising and other acts.
The head of the municipal government thanked the clubs for their great work in promoting sports and physical activity, healthy lifestyle habits and tourism, as well as promoting the municipality and its agriculture. El Ejido is the name they will use wherever they compete.
