If employers don't raise wages, unions will heat up the fall with social conflicts.

Employers are required to enable collective bargaining under UGT and CC OO. Both unions met at Asempal headquarters under the slogan "Salary or Conflict" and this is what accompanies today's mobilizations in each province capital of the National Territories.

According to unions in Almeria, 14 collective agreements have been blocked that affect more than 140,000 workers. Both forces remind us that June's advanced inflation leaves us with an increase of 1.8% and puts the rise in prices at 10.2% year-over-year. Core inflation is at 5.5%.

UGT Almeria and CC OO point out that they are demanding a salary rise to meet the rising prices of 3.5%, 2.5%, and 2% in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Each year, there will be a revision clause. However, businesses are refusing to reach an agreement on collective bargaining references within the frameworks of the AENC. This is in the interest of preventing collective agreements from being concluded and attempting to freeze wages.

UGT and CC OO Almeria, on the other hand, believe that the government of the nation must bet that prices will remain low, particularly for basic consumer products, as well as central redistributive policy such taxation from the negotiation and agreement within the field of social dialog, which is absent in the current worrying situation.
