"I started the morning crying," writes Bruce Willis' wife

Frontotemporal dementia - that was the diagnosis that action star Bruce Willis' family received regarding his state of health. Since then, nothing has been the same for the Hollywood patchwork family.

This was also shown by a post from his second wife Emma Heming-Willis (married since 2009). She shared her emotions on Instagram on the occasion of her husband's first birthday after the illness became public.

"I started the morning crying," said the 44-year-old, who has two daughters with Willis, in a video. People often praise her for her strength, when in reality she simply has no choice but to keep pulling herself together, the model said. "I have moments of sadness, sadness every day, and I feel it especially today on his birthday."

After action star Willis was diagnosed with aphasia about a year ago, which affects his cognitive abilities, his family announced the more precise diagnosis of dementia last month.

Heming-Willis also released a video of the actor's special moments with his family in celebration of her husband's 68th birthday on Sunday (March 19). "I will always love him," she wrote, asking Willis' fans to keep praying for him.

In the past few weeks, the 44-year-old had also made dementia diseases a general topic on her account. She asked her followers for tips on how to deal with their affected relatives and also asked the readers to network with each other and to contact the appropriate self-help organizations.

But not only Emma Heming-Willis spoke out. Willis' ex-wife Demi Moore also congratulated the actor. She published a video that shows the 68-year-old happy and moved while blowing out candles with his family.
