The traditional Huetor Vegas collective reading will be held in Plaza de la Canadilla on Wednesday, April 20th. This is because April 23rd falls on a Saturday. The Huetor Vega City Council organized an activity to encourage reading and commemorate Book Day. This year's leading work will be "Don Quixote de la Mancha". Members of local associations and representatives from the educational community (including AMPAs) will be reading Cervantes' text in the afternoon. Each group will read Cervantes' text for two minutes each, with two to three people.
Elisa Gonzalez Pedraza (Consultant for Culture) has sent a circular to confirm attendance as well as the number of people who will be reading. This procedure can be done by phone (number 958 300 511, extensions 228 or 229) or via email (cultura.info@huetorvega.com). The students from the schools will read for approximately two minutes each during the morning. A batch of books will then be delivered to Huetor Vega's educational centers, to help them update their library.
The Huetor Vega Book Fair, on the other hand will be held in the institute as well as in the schools. It will be at the IES Los Neveros (April 4-8), the CEIP Nuestra Senora de las Angustias April 18-19, and the CEIP Mariana Pineda April 20-21.
