La Zubia will be transformed into this weekend's Spanish capital of graffiti, and so-called "urban art" on Friday and Saturday. For the fourth year, the municipality of Granada will host 'Hip Hop Meeting Point'. This event is completely free and will feature more than fifty artists, hip-hop fans, 'break dancing' DJs, and graffiti fans from across Spain.
These urban artists will fill the fairgrounds in vibrant colors and showcase the latest music trends. This will make the event in the metropolitan city one of the most important in Andalusia.
With the support of the Granada Provincial Council, the Department of Youth of La Zubia organized the event.
Antonio Arquelladas (Councilor for Youth of La Zubia) points out that among those who will be attending the event are El Nino de las Pinturas and Fraggi, Falen and Marie Die.
The 'Hip Hop Meeting Point’ will host electronic music sessions and exhibitions of break dance' and ‘dancehall'. According to the mayor, the City Council of La Zubia will cooperate by providing the space and making the materials available to graffiti artists. The graffiti artists will also be painting a massive mural together at the La Zubia fairgrounds on Friday afternoon at 6:00 pm.
Puri Lopez, the mayor of La Zubia encourages all Granadans to come to her town this weekend to see a true display of urban art by these great artists of 21st-century.
