German industrial companies increasingly want to withdraw from Russia

In view of the partial mobilization of the Russian armed forces, German industrial groups with business in Russia are increasingly planning to withdraw from the country.

Thyssenkrupp WELT AM SONNTAG announced that after the production stop at its automotive plant in Kaluga south of Moscow, the group was now also cutting “personnel at other locations in Russia” and thus reducing its “business activities in Russia”.

According to Thyssenkrupp, it generates less than one percent of its group sales in the country and has already further reduced this share. The automotive supplier Bosch also wants to further reduce its business in Russia.

Speaking to WELT AM SONNTAG, it was said that "different options are currently being examined for each business area and location," "this also applies to our plants".
