The 'Musical Evenings' are Friday night events organized by the Department of Culture of La Zubia. They will be held in various squares throughout the municipality. This Friday, July 8, at 10 p.m. at Parque de la Encina's Music Pavilion, the first show will feature the Municipal Music Band of La Zubia.
The concert will be followed by the concerts "Culture under a moon" on July 15 by the Al Borde Association in Solana de Corvales, Ballena Gurumbe, (Templete de la Musica), July 22, Afro-Andalusian Fusion, and the Madrid Gay Men's Choir, (Templete de la Musica), July 29. All performances are free.
Rosa Gamero (City Councillor for Culture) explains that the goal of the 'Musical Evenings is to "bring cultural activities to the general public and promote culture with a capital letter through high-quality performances." La Zubia's 'Musical Evenings" are meant to be a "sprayer alternative to summer nights listening to live music with concerts of different styles, countries and music that integrates and respects cultural values that are contained in the framework document on world culture." The mayor of Culture stated that the 'Musical Evenings are to be a leisure option.
Puri Lopez, La Zubia's mayor, says that the concerts are part of a comprehensive program she has organized for the city council for the summer months. It includes activities for all ages.
