El Saliente de Albox is going to train 10 people unemployed in the Cleaning and Kitchen industries

The Association of People with Disabilities El Saliente, whose headquarters are in Albox will run a program to train 10 people in the Kitchen and Cleaning sectors. This training program will increase the employability of participants. The training will be held at El Saliente in Huercal de Almeria from February 1 through April 29. There are 10 places. There will be two parts to the agenda. Each block will include a theoretical and practical component.

Participation is based on the possession of a disability certificate with a minimum percentage of 33% or more. The initiative is funded by the Public Business Entity ENAIRE, Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda. This program is for people with disabilities who have little or no experience in the workplace. It aims to help them find work and train them.

From the 108 applicants, 11 national entities were selected to represent the Association of Persons with Disabilities el Saliente.

ENAIRE believes that these subsidies will be a tool to help people with disabilities achieve their maximum autonomy and independence, as well as quality of life, in a world where the COVID-19 pandemic is a serious threat to the economic and social environment.

Dual training

This training action will be beneficial to 10 individuals with disabilities working in the cleaning and cooking industries. This training action begins with a theoretical phase that provides participants with basic knowledge. Then, it moves on to the practical phase where participants are able to practice techniques that will improve their training and facilitate labor insertion.

Engagement to the 2030 SDGs and Social Responsibility

The Association of People with Disabilities El Saliente considers equal opportunities a priority. Access to employment is one of the best methods to develop skills, autonomy, motivation and self-reliance.

Incorporating labor into society is an important step in personal development, emotional well being, and full integration into society. Given the challenges faced by persons with disabilities when they are incorporated into the labor market, it is vital to add these difficulties to the mix. It is essential that we reinforce the type of actions that ensure that those most in need have more chances for labor inclusion.

This initiative is designed to promote the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and the application of values. During the training, we will focus on SDG 4 and 5 (Quality Education and Gender Equality), and then, we will influence SDG 10, (Reduction of Inequalities), to reduce differences, particularly among people with disabilities.
