Campojoyma has been a leader in the production of organic vegetables throughout Spain thanks to its innovation and sustainability. This is evident in the organic watermelon. Campojoyma will once again cultivate the organic watermelon until October. The organic company from Almeria has lower supply months, which gives Campojoyma an advantage in the organic markets in Spain and Europe. It gives customers security and peace of mind as they are assured supply for six months.
The crop is linked to different geographic areas in order to increase the harvest and respect the natural cycles of nature. The harvest is conducted between Almeria and Murcia in order to provide an ecological product with the best quality. This happens on farms that have been transformed into ecosystems of living, while also creating local jobs.
Francisco Jesus Montoya Sanchez is the manager of Campojoyma. He says that his strategy is "different" as it offers organic markets for "fruits and vegetables all year. "This is the case with organic watermelon. We continue to grow it beyond the summer, and we arrive in October when almost no product is left on the markets. We also provide an alternative crop to our farmers.
Campojoyma's Seedless Watermelon is exported to Europe, mostly Germany and the Nordic countries. 20% of it is sold in Spain. The production follows Campojoyma guidelines, which are based on traditional organic farming methods that respect the environment and contribute to the natural balance of nature. This work produces a sustainable fruit that is both high quality and safe for consumption.
Campojoyma crops employ different strategies to promote sustainability. These include the use of fauna for pest control, the creation of natural reservoirs with native plants, and sustainable use of water. Watermelon, which is a star product at the summer markets, is rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other beneficial properties.
Campojoyma is an Almeria company located in Campohermoso, (Nijar). It has grown exponentially since Francisco Jesus Montoya Sanchez started it in 2004.
