In collaboration with the town council and Clara Campoamor, the Clara Campoamor women’s assembly of La Zubia organized the 28th consecutive edition of their 'Cinema and Roses Week. With this, every year for the past 28, they pay tribute to an outstanding film director. Luis Garcia Berlanga is the protagonist this time. The appointment will take place in the auditorium at the Carlos Cano Center on two consecutive weekends: the present and the future.
On November 12, 13, and 14, respectively, the films "El executiono", "Welcome Mister Marshall" and "Placido" were shown. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be the turn for 'Thursdays a miracle', La heifer', and 'Calabuch'. Free screenings are available until capacity is exhausted.
A toy library service will also be available during each screening to assist mothers in resolving their differences and allowing them to attend the screening. Puri Lopez, the mayor of La Zubia, congratulates Clara Campoamor's women's assembly for this cultural project. She also collaborates with Municipal Center for Equality and Social Rights Las 13 Rosas de La Zubia.
Rebeca Sanchez, Councilor for Equality of La Zubia says that this association is a shining example of sisterhood and unity among women and a driving force in our municipality. She also mentions activities such as the 'Cinema and Roses Week, which we encourage all Zubians, as well as other traditional events.
