Andujar City Council will establish a new Day Center as well as other Associative Uses within the Poligono Puerta Madrid via Line 9 of Sustainable Urban Development Strategy. This will facilitate social cohesion, coexistence, and better quality of life for the residents and neighbours of this area.

A project to renovate the Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente School's old Children's Education Center, on Avenida Blas Infante will be undertaken. It will be co-financed by Feder funds as well as its own investment from the Andujar municipal hall.

Pedro Luis Rodriguez, the mayor, and Rosa Reche, the Councilor for Citizen Participation, visited the facilities. They met with representatives from neighborhood groups with the goal of understanding their needs.

This project will see the installation of an elevator in the building and an external staircase, which will allow for independent access to the upper floors. The entire complex will also be renovated, with municipal staff performing tasks such as reviewing the facilities, carpentry and coatings, and painting.

Rodriguez says that the community of neighbors has praised the Municipal Government's commitment to allocate European funds for the rehabilitation of the building. Rodriguez also says that the space will allow them to "infinite activities that promote cooperation, inclusion, and associativism."

The first mayor also explained that the initiative would not only give new life to an empty building, but will also help to transform a neighborhood in need of this kind of resource. . He highlighted that EDUSI allows us to transform the city by making numerous interventions in the most affected areas.

Remember that the Employability Workshop, described at line 9 of Strategy for Social Regeneration and Socio-Labour Integration of the Most Disaffected Areas, is being created on the adaptation of urban environments of Poligono Puerta Madrid. This workshop will encourage actions through the training practices of beneficiaries to the project with the goal of improving the area's image and infrastructure.
