Ana Fuentes, the mayor of Ana Fuentes abandons the PSOE and leaves the Roquetas Corporation without five turncoats

In terms of turncoat episodes, the Roquetas de Mar Corporation sets new records. Ana Fuentes (the PSOE councilor) will join the four turncoat councillors already in place. She, according to IDEAL, has decided not to remain with the socialist ranks.

Although the mayor declined to make a statement on Sunday, she did refer to the letter she sent via social media to the militancy. In which she stated that she made the decision to go on the political adventure "with the conviction of executing a project in my commitment to this municipality>>."

He explained that "to this date I don't feel identified with the parties' lines of action, which is why it is why I have decided that the best thing for me is to let my colleagues continue to work to change this city.

Fuentes decided to turncoat in the remaining 10 months of the legislative session. She mentions this to others outside the socialist ranks, inviting them to "continue that work" and to make this commitment.

Manolo Garcia was the spokesperson for the PSOE of Roquetas, and the mayor thanked him "for the trust, honesty, and kindness with which I have been treated". She also said that she felt "proud" to have been able "to actively participate in municipal politics" in which "I have tried my best to contribute my grain to improve Roquetas."

This movement caused great dismay in the party due to its timing, just before the expiration of the mandate, and the fact that it is not based on any compelling reasons. Manolo Garcia (the spokesperson for the formation) urged the mayor to be consistent with the project for whom he had presented himself, and to renounce the act as councilor so that, she said, it is another colleague taking over the project in the which it seems he no longer believes.

Garcia directly cited Gabriel Amat, the mayor of Roquetas as the one responsible for so many defections in opposition groups in Roquetas de Mar. He stated that Amat was favoring his attitude and the violation of the Anti-transfuguismo pact his party signed. "The appearance of this phenomenon that has embarrassed all the rockers is now something that has been generalized in Corporation."

Ana Fuentes' municipal group was the sixth dereliction of this mandate. So far, only Toni Fernandez (from Tu Decides) has decided to resign and allow other colleagues to assume the same role. The minutes of their councilors and sometimes the salaries they received as members of the formation retain all the other councilors.

Francisco Barrionuevo, and Antonio Lopez, were the first to defect. They left the formation because the party demanded they renounce the salary increases approved at the start of the mandate, and the compatibility between their salaries and the activity of private companies approved and approved by the Plenary. The councilors were very critical of the party that they had represented up until then. Both decided to stay in the Government team, positions they held due to the pact of the PP with Vox to keep Amat at the Mayor's Office.

Lourdes Garcia Garzon was the next to be expelled from their ranks. She had been the PSOE's previous scourge, Maria Jose Lopez. Lopez was harshly criticised for her behavior and for betraying her party. Garcia Garzon was also released by Ciudadanos after she quit her party. Her salary was kept by the mayor even though she had left. She is currently a member of the PP acts, and she participated in the campaign for the last Andalusian election.

Cs's next councilor, Pepe Montoya, who was also his head of the list, and who harshly criticised his former partner for failing to keep the minutes, was the one who left his group. Pepe Montoya retained his councilor title and is now leading a fierce confrontation with Gabriel Amat, the mayor, and Guillermo Lago the secretary for limiting their participation in plenary sessions. This was something that has never been done before with the turncoats.
