Almanzora Gourmet is a festival that will feature gastronomy, the "axis for health and social development".

Yesterday, Antonio Fernandez (mayor of Cuevas del Almanzora) and Melchora Caparros (councilor for commerce), presented the third edition and the program for three days of the Almanzora Gourmet fair. This event, which returns with much strength after two years of inactivity due to the pandemic, will be held at Cuevas del Almanzora.

The third edition will be held from April 22-24. It will retain the essence of an agricultural-food and culinary fair and will include interesting newties that were unveiled during the event's presentation.

The mayor of Commerce stated that the Fair would be a true gastronomic celebration in which "good eating" will reign.

The mayor praised the Department of Commerce's outstanding work in organizing a Fair. This Fair is a qualitative leap because it includes activities that are directed and taught directly by professionals from the sector, who are also benchmarks at the Andalusian as well as national levels.

Enrique Sanchez is a television host, Antonio Gazquez is a teacher, Federico Jimenez is the president of Andalusian Culinary Art, Juan Moreno and Yolanda Garcia and Ana Belen Garcia are chefs. Emilio de Haro and Cuevan@s Martin Haro will also be present.

Yolanda Garcia stressed in her intervention other ingredients with which the Fair is being "cooked", the illusions, the enthusiasm, and the truth... The truth is in being able and wanting to highlight the quality and quantity of the products as well as the elaborated work of our professionals.

There were two workshops: one on Fruits and Chocolates with Yolanda Garcia and Miguel Angel de la Virgitana and the other on 'Here is nothing left' by maestro Gazquez. We learn from the kitchen of use what it gives us and how sustainability is so important for the future.

Melchora Caparros, for her part, highlighted the high expectations for the new edition. She recalled that thousands of people had passed through the Almanzora's Multipurpose Warehouse in previous year's Almanzora Gourmet fair. They hope that this year there will be more. Visitors can also enjoy cooking workshops, demonstration cookings, tastings, and endless entertainments that revolve around the fantastic products and restaurants in Almeria as well as their delicious dishes.

Almanzora Gourmet Fair is once again a showcase for our gastronomy, both that of Cuevas as well as the province. In collaboration with the Provincial Council, Sabores Almeria also offers this product.

Cuevas' mayor invited all to the Fair to experience the unique gastronomic festival that will take place in April in Almeria.
