After Luis Diaz's resignation, Francisco Martinez will take over as Mayor's Office Zurgena.

Luis Diaz (PSOE), the mayor of Zurgena has resigned and submitted his resignation. Francisco Martinez has been elected by the party to replace him as the head of Zurgena City Council, at least until his mandate expires in May next year. Francisco Martinez was one of the five councilors for the Government team, along with Noelia Garcia and Manuel Jesus Menchon. They won an overwhelming absolute majority. The PP, which is the main opposition party, has only two councillors. Martin Mena Lopez is the Ciudadanos' councillor.

Domingo Trabalon was the spokesperson for the Popular Party in Zurgena City Council. He described the resignation of Luis Diaz as an "electoral strategy" to win the next municipal election. As explained, the idea behind the socialists is for Francisco Martinez to be elected mayor ahead of the May 28th 2022 elections at the top of the Zurgenero City Council.

Trabalon believes "that the resignation by the current councilor is two years late" because he has been teaching since October 2020 without having resigned as mayor's officer. Trabalon says that this situation "has finally ended in resignation, because Luis Diaz has admitted that he can't reconcile his work in education with managing a municipality such as Zurgena, which requires full dedication>>.

It is not a happy story that a mayor has resigned. This is because, despite political differences, his neighbors elected him to represent Zurgena for these four years. He also affirms that there is an end in the cycle now that he has been elected mayor. This means that the municipality will no longer be subject to instability for one year following the close of the legislative session.

Domingo Trabalon, following Luis Diaz’s decision, emphasizes that "he was past" and that we now only need to talk about Zurgena. Trabalon concludes by wishing Francisco Martinez "good luck" in his new role and wishing him "good fortune."
