AfD in the east in first place - 15 percent in the national trend

A year after the federal elections, the AfD is in first place in East Germany in a survey. The right-wing party currently achieves 27 percent in the so-called Sunday question in the eastern federal states and 12 percent in the western states, as can be seen from the Insa opinion trend for "Bild" (Tuesday). Number two in the east is the CDU with 26 percent.

Nationwide, the institute determined the following values among 2102 participants when asked what they would vote for if there were a federal election next Sunday: CDU/CSU 27.5 percent (a drop of one percentage point compared to the previous survey); the SPD 18 percent (minus 0.5 percent); the Greens (19.5 percent) and the FDP (8 percent) each gain half a percentage point. The nationwide value for the AfD is 15 percent (plus 1). The left comes to 5.5 percent (unchanged).

The error tolerance given in the survey is 2.4 percentage points, which means that the results could be higher or lower by this value. The survey took place from September 23rd to 26th.
