Well-known designer died in horrible accident: He was my soul mate

on Saturday it emerged that the well-known Danish designer Lennart Raaholt the other day died because of a faldulykke.

He was 71 years old.

For Extra Magazine tells Lennart Raaholts partner, interior designer Finn Bay Jørgensen, he is crushed over the loss of his life companion.

Yet he has the energy to put a few words on how he will best remember Lennart Raaholt.

- It is a bit difficult to express so close. He was buried yesterday. Lennart and I have worked in all almost 45 years. He was my soul mate. Dynamic, curious, and is actually incredibly broad in its abilities. He designed of course, but interested in everything else. He was a very hard modetegner. At the last, he tried turning his tegnetalent in a more artistic direction, he says to Ekstra Bladet.

- He read much, interested himself much to philosophy and religion. Outwardly flamboyant and perhaps a bit rowdy. But behind the façade a quite humble and discreet man. He was completely impossible with the technique. Could hardly handle his cell phone, which otherwise was of the simplest kind. Good for him, that he should not behave professionally in the day, where everything is much more technically-oriented, says Finn Bay Jørgensen on.

According to Finn Bay Jørgensen died Lennart Raaholt very suddenly after an accident in their home for a couple of days ago.

- You mean, he got a black out. He fell on a staircase in the house. With so fatal injuries of the head, he gave up the ghost just a few hours later. Really there is not more to say about it, " says Finn Bay Jørgensen.

He tells that the designer Friday got a 'beautiful and intimate farewell with family and close friends'.

Lennart Raaholt, who was born Poor on the island of Funen, was a well-known, american fashion designer and writer with international work.

He was a popular student at the design company in the Strib by the little belt bridge, where he was so gripped by the subject, that he continued to Kunsthåndværkerskolens modelinje.

He did, however, never finished that mba, but jumped off after a few years.
