Armed men have stormed an Elite Hotel in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, on Sunday.
at Least five people are killed in the attack, informs the police to the news agency dpa. Two of those killed is the hotel's security guards. There are some reports of at least ten wounded.
The militant is believed to have taken hostage, inform the police officer Ahmed Bashane to the dpa.
Earlier there had sounded a sharp explosion and the shot, inform the police and eyewitnesses, according to the news agencies Reuters, AFP and AP.
- There have been a car bomb explosion targeted the Elite Hotel at Lido beach. There is a fierce exchange of fire inside the building, says police officer Adan Ibhrahim according to AFP.

Somalia has been marked by bloody violence since 1991, when some of the country's warlords overthrew the government and then began to fight amongst themselves for power.
Since 2008, the militant group al-Shabaab tried to fight Somalia's internationally supported government. Al-Shabaab wants to impose a regime based on islamic sharia law.
