Police spokesman Christopher Lee tells the american media that there may be a bomb.

According to a filipino news agency, police are still investigating whether the explosion caused by a bomb, or whether it can be illegal fireworks, which, unfortunately, jumped in the air in the area.

The local priest Jewel Blake H. Lumasag says to CNN that he was on the road in the centre, when the explosion happened. He tells to the media that the police asked him to leave the area, because they feared that it was a bomb.


In a Facebook-lookup the call of the mayor Frances Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi, the explosion of an 'act against humanity'.

'This is not just a random terrorist act but an act against humanity', writes the mayor.
