the Background for the report was that the municipality did not have won with base in Viborg, denmark had submitted adequate documentation as to why the concrete used for the foundation of the tower was apparently of a different type, than the advisory firm Norconsult had recommended for the construction.

Since the constructor is not answered within påbuddets period, which started in the municipality of the company to the police for not having complied with the injunction.

Reason has brought the historic sale

Fixed Battery is a site of almost seven acres, which was purchased by the Bach Group, which has its home in Viborg, denmark in 2007.

the construction Project is also called The Bastion and is located at Njalsgade at Amager. There are planned 125.000 ft. residential and erhvervsareal, and the reason must, among other things accommodate two high-rise buildings. the Behavior of The Bastion is expected to take 8-10 years from 2017, and appears to be highly profitable for the Bach Group. At the end of July, the Exhibition the company that it had made its biggest trade ever on a total of 740 million dollars.

Bach Group recognises that the company has used other types of concrete, than they had been recommended by the advisor, but there are no problems with either the quality of the concrete or its strength, says Lene Christensen, director of the Bach Group.

- It is true that we have used other types of concrete for the base plate, other than those the adviser (Norconsult, red.) has prescribed, but I acknowledge that they are wrong. The reason we have used some other types, due to some practical reasons, she says.

While the Bach Group hired the engineering firm Norconsult to recommend bl.a. what type of concrete to be used for the foundation, then asked, " The company does not Norconsult, or other advice, since you chose to use other types of concrete.

- It was our own betonbyggeleder, which took the decision, and it may also be good, says Lene Christensen.

She also says that no problems have been under the control of either the casting of the foundation or the concrete, in other parts of the construction.

Norconsults recommendations on among other things, the use of concrete was used as the basis for the city of Copenhagen gave the Bach Group a building permit. The municipality informs, moreover, that you have a good dialogue and cooperation with the contractor.

There is no requirement that contractors must use independent consultants to, for example, to recommend which type of concrete to be used, or that it can be decided to use a different betontype, which also conforms to the rules.

But have you used a counsellor, one should also hear this, if you change key items like for example betontypen to the foundation.

It takes at least Mikkel Kragh, who is a civil engineer, and professor and head of section at the Department of Technology and Innovation at the University of Southern denmark.

- If you deviate from the recommendations of the adviser, it will be natural that you inform the adviser about it, and that you ensure that it is in order. It is unusual that a contractor even go in and change it without submitting it to the advisor.

- It is good practice to make note of it, if one deviates from the recommendations, and then get the advisor to approve it, he says and stresses that he will not comment on the specific case, but speaking generally.

After the city of Copenhagen gave the Bach Group an injunction to account for the use of concrete in the foundation, approached by the contractor to his advisor Norconsult.

a statement prepared by Norconsult, as the Bach Group has submitted, concludes the engineers, to bundpladens strength is weaker compared to the recommended. However, the reduction is not of a problematic size, it sounds.

'On the background, it is considered the reduced strength is not to have any significance for the building's security,' writes Norconsult in the report.

Norconsult recommended by the same token, that among other things, the taking of samples from the foundation and sent for testing at the Technological Institute.

the reason for Norconsults report is a delivery notes for the purchase of concrete, like Bach, the Group has sent to Norconsult. When the outcome of the dti study will be available is unknown.
