That Cis Rodenbach a nice pé, for whom many people had sympathy for, is an understatement. It was there for the start of the funeral a row to the Big Market, for the rouwgroet in the Sint-martin's cathedral. In the church there were far too few chairs. Many followed the service upright. Among the attendees is also a lot of politicians, such as the family De Clerck and burgervaders Kurt charels chantal sint Waregem, Francis Benoit of Kuurne and Vincent Van Quickenborne in Kortrijk. Also member of parliament Hendrik Bogaert was there.

Cis was proud of his children. Arthur and Renée saw a good three years ago it was born, three months early. The twins weren't there at the funeral. There were two hugs and two drawings on his chest. Patricia and Baldwin, sister and brother of Cis, read in the name of Arthur and Renée a poignant letter: “Dear daddy, you watched over us and was always in a good outcome, believe. You gave us the warmest and strongest hugs and showed us to the smallest things laugh. So, together pancakes to eat with you is always a feast. Because you always gave us sneak an extra serving of sugar. Dear daddy, thank you for everything. We will miss you in all the colors.”
