"Thousands of people gathered in the Serbian capital Belgrade on Friday to show their support for president Aleksandar Vucic. In front of a sea of Serbian flags called on Vucic opposition for dialogue, but underlined at the same time that the government do not accept any ultimatum."
"People have then in december a demonstration against the ultranationalistiske president who is accused by the opposition for being autocratic, curtailing the freedom of the press and to turn a blind eye to corruption in the country."
"Vucic hopes that Serbia will become a part of the EU, but the country has received criticism from both the EUROPEAN commission and the european Parliament for the shortcomings in the freedom of the press. The european parliament has in a report encouraged the Serbian authorities to improve the situation as regards freedom of expression and media freedom."
