When the prestigious statuettes to be distributed to this year's Oscar show, will special one thing be different this year. That's not going to be any official host, who guides the audience through the evening.
It confirms Karey Burke, who is the president of ABC Entertainment, which is behind the Oscar-show, to news agency Reuters.
Burke tells the various well-known going to present prices, and report that there is planned a "quite exciting opening".
But outlook breaks with a tradition where the hosts have led the battle in a long number of years, apart from a single time in 1989.
In december drew comedian and actor Kevin Hart from the prestigious role as host of the awards ceremony, which was to take place in 2019.
It happened because of protests over a number of previous opinions. Critics called them homophobic.
the Decision to exclude a host for the show was taken because of it, as Karey Burke has called the "mess" with Hart's retirement.
Then it was decided that it should be known who was to announce the prices.
We were all agreed on the idea quite quickly, " says the president.
the Choice of Kevin Hart fell at a time when the academy, which awards, are under pressure to increase the diversity in the show. He was supposed to be one of just a handful of black hosts, who have managed the show.
But after the announcement he is, among other things, been criticised for in the 2010 to have said: "If I can prevent my son being gay, so I'll do it".
he has, however, later apologised. The awards ceremony takes place on 24. February. The statuettes for the best performances on film in 2018 to be shared out in the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
