This cleans up – after the new year celebrations

"It was probably a late night for most. After fired rockets and firecrackers end up a lot of debris on the ground. The cleanup took place in Stockholm, Göteborg, Luleå and Malmö, reports GP."

"– It is about showing love for their country. We do this with a nyårsstädning and it sets a standard for the rest of the year. It is also a way to show the young people of the league to show appreciation, " says Mansoor Ahmed, medieansvarig in the Ahmadiyya Muslim youth league, to Aftonbladet."

"To counter prejudices"

"In Gothenburg were more than 30 people who gathered at 06.00 in the Nasirmoskén. Shortly after 07: 00 am started the cleaning at the Moors and Sailing. The mood must have been good."

"– There were a few that came up and they thought it was jättepositivt. They encouraged us to continue, " he says."

"Nyårsstädningen is an international activity for the Ahmadiyya Muslim community. It takes place in over 200 countries and Mansoor Ahmed says that the purpose also is to lead by example."

" We know how the external image of muslims. We want to Swedish society and in this way we can combat prejudice."
