The u.s. economy does, she will regain not the lost ground before 2022

The u.s. economy is expected to significantly rebound in the third quarter after the dip caused by the outbreak of coronavirus, but it will not before 2022 its pre-crisis levels, according to updated projections released on Tuesday by the Budget Office of the Congress (CBO).

This non-partisan organization predicts a contraction of gross domestic product (GDP) of the United States of 37.7% in an annualized basis in the second quarter, before growth of 21.5% over the period July-September. The american GDP do find, however, not its vertices to the beginning of 2020 until the end of the period studied by the CBO, which runs until the end of 2021. The CBO expects that the unemployment rate reaches a peak in the third quarter with an average of 15.8%.

8.6% in the fourth quarter of 2021

It should then decrease, but the body of the Congress sees it again to 8.6% in the fourth quarter of 2021, with employment levels still lower than it was in early 2020. "The persistence of social distancing will continue to contain economic activity and the conditions on the labour market", predicts the CBO.

The u.s. economy contracted by 4.8% (annualized) in the first quarter and economists expect a dip up to 40% on the period April to June, the largest recession since the Great Depression of the 1930s.

The USA are certainly better prepared in the future than we are...The "work" in the US is not, as in France, a scourge,a "evil necessary" that we are trying since a few decades the socialists to fight, to mepriser and limit (35H, 5 wks.leave, RTT..strikes episodic,..etc...The Work there is a Value...it is all the difference..! It is much more honored and respected than in us..!. No 35H, 2 wk off, not RTT, unemployment in non-subsidized wage-merit - even for the officials..! It may be a development...and not a scourge to be necessary...And our american friends are not more unfortunate that we, on the contrary..!
