There was in advance the spoken and written much about the night hovedkamp in the UFC 232 between american Jon Jones and Swedish Alexander Gustafsson.
the Showdown was with short notice and moved from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, because Jon Jones had handed over a suspicious drug test with traces of turinabol. The same substance, as he was unveiled in to use after the victory over Daniel Cormier in 2017.
The cost of 15 months of quarantine, but in the new suspicious test from 9. december was the content of the substance is so low that the u.s. anti-doping agency, USADA, believes that it may originate from an offence in 2017.
Why was Jon Jones allowed to fight against Alexander Gustafsson - but not in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, as was the plan. The Nevada State Athletic Commission could not reach to assess the matter, and the fight was with only six days notice to moved the four-hour drive to the Forum outside of Los Angeles. A decision that was met with great criticism from, among others, the night's opponent.
As if that wasn't enough, blew out Alexander Gustafsson tremendously to the fire, during the weigh-in, where he wore a t-shirt with the word 'doping' is deleted.

the 31-year-old Jon Jones did not let himself be influenced by the specific circumstances of the case, and in the middle of the third lap he made a violent attack on svenskerens head. It was too much for the fight, who threw himself between, broke off the fight and declared Jones the winner.
All the judges had then also Jones as the winner of the first two laps. With the victory regains Jon Jones light heavyweight title, which he otherwise was stripped after the positive dopingprøve last year.
After the showdown-explained the winner, despite all the fuss in the run-up was not anything personal grudge against the swede.
- It was always about being the champion again. It was never about the opponent. Nothing personal, I'm just glad my belt, and now I'm going back to training and improve me, it sounded immediately after the fight.
