The Zurich-based green liberals have decided for the second Council of States election voting share. The Board could decide on Thursday evening, neither for Ruedi Noser (FDP) for Marionna Schlatter (Green).
For the GLP a real fate was a question: Is the party in principle, the more liberal or green? This is a question the Board was not able to answer, despite the "transparent analysis and open debate". As he told, he is therefore for any of the two Candidates to make a choice recommendation. Both Candidates are only single aspects of the green-liberal politics would have. The GLP members could support the candidate or the candidate of your choice. It was also involved in one of the two committees.
In the second ballot of 17. November, the Green newcomer, and the previous FDP Council of States to. Schlatter won in the first ballot, 95100 votes, Noser 141700. The Green is supported in the second round by SP and AL. Noser recommend CVP, BDP, various business associations, and – reluctantly – the SVP is a choice. The largest of Zurich's party has withdrawn with Roger Köppel their own candidate, they called Noser "the lesser of two Evils". The EPP has decided to vote share. Already the SPler Daniel Jositsch was elected with 216700 votes. (red/sda)
