The Danish pet-squirrel has been reviewed

With its cute exterior and exceptional behaviour, the Danish pet-squirrel TinTin through several years, taken more than thousands of Instagram followers by storm.

But it may very well be made, as it actually is prohibited to keep wild animals.

- There is a citizen in Denmark who have been hurt in the back over the fact that TinTin has a harness on. Therefore he reported it to the environmental protection Agency, which must follow the law, says TinTins 'father', Decan Andersen, to Ekstra Bladet.

- It was not nice to get the letter. He is like a third child for me.

According to the law must TinTin not, therefore, be kept on a leash, but it is actually the only way that he will away from his home.

- He is always free, apart from when we go for a walk. I take the belt of, he runs home.

- We have everything in the world tried to give him the opportunity to be lost. But he doesn't bother. If terrassedøren is opened, he sits just looking under the porch roof, " says Decan Andersen.

In the letter, which the Decan Andersen has received from the environmental protection Agency, among other things:

'In Denmark there is a ban on capture of wild animals, including squirrels. The squirrel is a mammal that is naturally occurring in the Danish nature, and is thus governed by the rules of the game. The environmental protection agency has no information that would be given permission to your team of squirrel'.

But TinTin is, as such, never been caught, when he five years ago was a part of the Decan Andersen's family.

- We are working to find a solution. But of course I can't say more, as long as the case is running, and so long as not sent a reply to the citizen, says officer Lasse Fowler-Jensen to Ekstra Bladet.

- When we write to an individual, it may well be experienced a little formally, and therefore we write also, that people are welcome to approach if they have questions. We have also had a telephone contact with the Decan Andersen, and it is our experience, that he has been happy for the contact.
