The many klimaatmarsen of the past weeks show that young people - from kindergarteners to college students - does indeed care for the environment. “The youth has a voice and that we should not underestimate, that much is now clear,” says Wim Pauwels, teacher at the fourth grade of primary school Futura in Wervik. “In the run-up to 'warm sweater' day on Tuesday, February 12, and in the atmosphere of Youth for Climate, I also wanted to do my bit to contribute for a better environment and a healthier climate. I have four of my existing songs herbewerkt and bundled in my new album, the appropriately titled ‘Milieudju Stop". I try therein to convince everyone thinking about the environment and about how they can reduce their environmental footprint.”
The four numbers are called ‘Waste’, ‘My Car’, ‘The Green Knight’ and ‘Environmentally friendly Way’. The songs are available for a small fee to download on iTunes or Google Play. Of each number, there is also a karaokeversie. However, they are not only for the school-going youth meant. “I would really like to have that also in adults The amount of Waste to hear,” Wim continues. “The song carries a clear message, for anyone. Well thought-out and at the same time a cry for help: stop now that pollution.”
