When viewers turn on the TV2 News from 1. October, they come to experience a new face on the screen.
TV2 informs in a press release that the tv station has hired Thomas Buch-Andersen, who comes from a job as a kanalchef for P1 with DR.
On the TV 2 News, he must among other things provide the hosts with Karen-Helene Hjort on the program 'NEWS & Co.'. Here replacement he Uffe Tang, who at the end of June came out, he stopped at the screen to try new challenges in the communications industry.
the 49-year-old Thomas Buch-Andersen, is looking forward to make a comeback on the screen. It says he, when the Extra Blade catches him on the phone.

TV2 News has in recent times really showed its strength as a faithful source of news, analysis and perspectives for the danes, who would like to follow what is happening in our society. I am pleased to be a part of a dedicated team who would like to give the danes what is important in society, he says.

He praises the whole team behind the P1 and say that he did not think that the channel has sounded better than it does now.
- So I think it is the right time to challenge myself with something that I haven't tried before, he says, and continues:
Pippi Longstocking has the expression: 'I have not tried before, so surely I can well find out'. I have the opposite. I say, that I have not tried before, so I don't know if I can. Therefore, I will try it, says Thomas Buch-Andersen.
Before he took office as kanalchef on P1, could the viewers experience of him on the screen in the DR programme 'Detector', but the big difference between it and his new job is that he must now make live tv.
- It will be an exciting and challenging discipline to learn, he says.

Thomas Buch-Andersen started in the DR in 1997, and after a quick trip to the BBC and the ministry of Employment he returned in 2006.
- In this round I have been in 14 years, so it becomes a bit like to move away from home. It will be unusual, nerve-wracking and anxiety-provoking to go out the revolving door without my DR-map when I'm at a point doing it. But I am full of excitement and shivers after seeing what happens on the other side of the DR's walls, he concludes.
