What to say to the Superliga players about homophobia and their own experiences?

Advice.dk has asked 12 of them, whether they have experienced homophobia within the latest year, it shed more often or not, and whether they have reported it.

Here is what they replied.

- It is not something that is clear in the mind, and I think certainly, it would do if it was something I had noticed. Of course I can't completely deny that I have had some experiences with it, but then I think, as I said just, I would remember it. So my immediate answer is no.

- It is not something I have experienced. I have experienced many other words, but not something homophobic. I have not seen it with Viktor Fischer, but he is in his right to do what he wants to do, for it is not right that the fans yell something. Get shouted a lot from fans, so it's easy to just be indifferent, but I think it's awesome, he puts some focus on it.

- No, it should be noted I do not have to have experienced, and we have actually talked in the club about it, but there was not anyone who could remember to have experienced it.

- No, I have never even heard anything. I have of course taken good note of it from yesterday (Sunday, red.), but I have not even had an experience with it.

- I have even considered a little bit after the here cases, if I exactly have been able to pinpointe fights or situations where there is been shouted something homophobic, but I can't.

I am in doubt whether it was not being called, or whether I just do not notice it. It is, I believe, is a part of the explanation. And then there might be some players and clubs, which are exposed to some more harsh heckling than in the matches I play in.

- I have not personally experienced it, but I have heard songs like, all from Aalborg is gay. However, I can't remember who sang it and where it was sung along.

- I think, that it is typically the high-profiled players, who try it. It is rarely a right-back, who is experiencing it.

Statistically, they will run anyone around in the premier League, who are gay, but I have also heard that there is more that falls off before they reach the professional environment. It is a disaster, that it is the kind of thing that determines whether one is pursuing his dream.

- I have even been called thick, as I ran and warmed up for a match in Newport. It I live with, it was a good gimmick.

- Yes, yes, you are insane. Lumb is gay, the music is there, every time we meet Again. It happened both in Denmark and at the CASA Arena in Horsens. It is not something that shocks me - I have three children and a female lover, but I think it is under all criticism, that gay is an insult in 2019, and I'm glad they focus on it.

- I've never even done anything about it. I laugh to much just of it. My teammates have asked me, why, in the Vendsyssel have so much against me, and I know it is not. I have as I said had a boyfriend in six years and has three children.
