the UNITED states secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, has travelled to Saudi Arabia to demand that the companies involved in the killing of Jamal Khashoggi will be held accountable.

Pompeo landed Sunday in Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh. This is the second time, Mike Pompeo visit Saudi Arabia since the killing of Khashoggi.

During the visit to Riyadh to Pompeo among other things, meet with crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, minister of foreign affairs Adel al-Jubeir and Saudi Arabia's ambassador in Washington, prince Khalid bin Salman.
- We will continue to have conversations with the crown prince and the saudis in order to ensure that those responsible are going to be accountable for the unacceptable killing of Jamal Khashoggi, said the Pompeo prior to the flight to Riyadh.
He added that the companies involved in the killing not only must be held responsible for Saudi Arabia, 'but also for the UNITED states'.
The saudi journalist, commentator and dissident Jamal Khashoggi disappeared the 2. October, after a visit to the Saudi Arabia consulate in Istanbul.
After first having denied confirmed Saudi Arabia on the evening of the 19. October, that Khashoggi was killed at the consulate in Turkey.
According to a public prosecutor, it was a fight between Khashoggi and the people at the consulate that led to the journalist's death.
Saudi Arabia's top public prosecutor has announced that it requires the death penalty for five of the men who are accused of having participated in the killing.
Turkey's president, Recep Erdogan, believes that Khashoggi was killed by saudi agents at the consulate. He has stated that there is talk about a political murder, there were prepared several days in advance.
Also in the UNITED states the Senate has passed a resolution calling on all senators agree that Saudi Arabia's crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, is responsible for the killing of Khashoggi.
