The unmanned freighter flew off on Wednesday afternoon from a spaceport in the US state of Virginia on an Antares-230-rocket, the US space Agency NASA announced on Twitter.
Cygnus is expected on Friday to the ISS. By using a robot arm, U.S. astronaut Anne McClain and her canadian colleague, David Saint-Jacques to make it to the space station. "Cygnus" and brings food and materials for scientific experiments to the ISS.
